MRL History
 
 
MRL Enterprises was Incorporated in 1977. Three brothers - Martin Flanagan / Roger Flanagan & Larry Flanagan decided to enter the heavy industrial machinery moving industry. All three brothers were members of Local 136 - machinery movers & riggers union out of Chicago. The business was started with a box of hand tools and one pickup truck. As of 2023 under the leadership of Larry Flanagan (President) / Cindy Flanagan & Brian Flanagan - the business is now in its Third generation with Nathan Flanagan and currently boasts the following: 2014 Mack semi tractor - 2000 Mack semi tractor - 2021 NGL 930 Landoll - 2017 NGL 930 Landoll - 1986 Landoll - ALL hydraulic trailers. 2015 XL RGN Double Drop w/ 3rd axle trailer - 1994 TK70 Trail King RGN Double Drop w/ third axle trailer. 52' air - ride flatbed - 53' air ride Van trailer. 21 forklifts - Solid Tire forklifts ranging from 3,000 Lb capacity to 35,000 Lb. capacities and pneumatic forklifts from 20,000 Lb. capacity to 50,000 Lb. capacity. 2105 Hoist 25/35 with Hydraulic boom - 20 Ton Rig-n-lift Hydraulic boom - Grove 22 Ton RT crane. 100 Ton jacking system - 10 Ton steel gantry - 5 Ton aluminum gantry and a soon to be completed hydraulic 75 ton gantry system. 10 Ton Telescopic forklift with crane hook - machinery booms for all forklifts - extra counterweights - steel dollies - nylon dollies. ALL equipment warehoused inside our 13,000 sq. ft. facility in Hammond, IN.

MRL operates in the Midwest region with our own trucks, flatbeds, vans and heavy lift  equipment to meet ALL of your machinery moving needs. We have our own fleet of forktrucks & cranes ranging from 2,000 - 50,000 Lb. capacities and are the perferred mover of some the the largest and most demanding shippers in the Chicagoland area. We can offer fast expedient service from one piece to turn-key whole plant moves. Secure indoor / outdoor warehousing and local trucking rates are availiable upon request.

 

Our goal at MRL is to offer you the very best quality service possible, which we maintain with the highest standards with our people and equipment. All of our employees are members of Chicago Local 136 Machinery Movers & Riggers. We can provide certified forklift operators/ Aireal Lift operators / OSHA 10 & 40 / TWIC Card / Certified Welders and Hazmat Abatement personnel upon request.

MRL is proud to provide a free obsolete machinery removal service to businesses around Chicagoland. Most equipment is removed for free for its scrap value. We know how to safely dismantle complicated and challenging old machinery. We can also clean up entire plants of unwanted machines and infrastructure.
